Description
Needs
Detailed Inspection and Evaluation for all the Structures and hydro-mechanical and electrical equipment by qualified consultants is required. In order to define the required maintenance and /or replacement and any other improvement works. A new bathymetry survey is required for the Channel reaches upstream and downstream the main Regulator to evaluate the sediment accumulation within the upstream reach and the scour if any within the downstream reach , this will define the required dredging , cleaning and/ or protection works.
Objective
The Main Outlet Regulator and Channel scheme was constructed to supply water from Tharthar Lake back to Euphrates River, for irrigation purposes and for improving the quality of the stored water in the lake, as a part of the Country’s Water Resources Management.
