Description

This section serves part of Kifil-Shannafyah Irrigation Projects. The estimated peak discharges 18.8 m^3/s for the 1.3 MD section (discharging at km 237 to the right into EED; an amount equal to 16.7 m3/sec is pumped from this drain to Hor Ibn Najem lake, which acts as balance basin by evaporation to reduce the peak discharge of EED), 5 m^3/s for section 1.1 MD (discahring at km 184 to the right of the EED), 3.6 m^3/s for a number of small drains discharging at different location on the right of the EED and 30 m^3/s for Shamia West Drain (discharing at km 163 to the right of the EED). The EED discharge into the MOD at km 189 (right side).
